IDP is recruiting a Development Officer – Community Development (DO2) to support empowered, thriving, and inclusive communities across Inishowen. This role focuses on strengthening community participation, collaboration, and engagement.
What You’ll Do The role includes:
Supporting community groups through capacity‑building, training and network development.
Leading community consultation, engagement and collaborative initiatives.
Supporting groups with needs identification, planning and solution development.
Coordinating training on governance, compliance and committee skills.
Assisting with funding applications, reporting and event coordination.
Working closely with local stakeholders to address inequality and social exclusion.
What You’ll Bring
A Level 8 qualification in Community Development, Education, Business, Social Science or related field.
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in the community, voluntary or social enterprise sector.
Excellent communication, advocacy and networking skills.
Strong organisational, research and report‑writing abilities.
A full clean driving licence and access to a car.
