Your role as Diesel Mechanic will involve the service and repair of construction machinery.

Responsibilities

  •  Visual checks, test drives or use test equipment to diagnose engine and mechanical faults
  •  Remove, dismantle, repair and replace defective parts
  •  Prepares new parts using appropriate tools
  •  Carries out routine maintenance checks on oil and air filters, brakes, and other vehicle parts/systems
  •  Diagnoses faults in electrical/electronic circuitry systems and carries out service tasks
  •  Installs additional electrical amenities such as radio/CD players, aerials
  •  Repairs and services air conditioning, heating and engine-cooling systems

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with diesel machinery.
  • Experience working with construction machinery a distinct advantage.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and without supervision.
  • Full clean drivers license.

Required licences or certifications

  •  Driving License
  • 2+ years experience
