North West Golf Club is seeking the services of a Head Greenkeeper to lead our course maintenance team at our picturesque links on the Inishowen Peninsula.
The successful candidate will report directly to the club’s Honorary Secretary and oversee and maintain the quality of the course to the highest standards.
The candidate will possess the ability to lead and direct our team of greenkeepers and implement and manage agreed turfcare programmes.
The Head Greenkeeper will also be expected to provide an input into developing the course maintenance budget and manage that budget in liaison with the Greens Committee and Club Council.
The candidate will also be responsible for the maintenance of all machinery and equipment and also establish and maintain turf quality through aeration, seeding and fertilisation. The Head Greenkeeper will implement best practices for weed control and pest management to protect turf health.
Current Health & Safety (H.S.A.) and environmental Protection (E.P.A.) standards must be maintained.
Qualifications and Experience:
Full Driving Licence with a minimum of between 2 and 5 years experience as a greenkeeper in golf course management, with time spent in a supervisory/leadership role would be an advantage.
A competitive package is offered for the role, the level of which will be determined by the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications.
