ChangeMakers is a project of Inishowen Development Partnership, Donegal ETB, Self Help Africa and Trócaire funded by Irish Aid. Our vision is for adults in County Donegal to be actively engaged in understanding and taking action on local and global issues for a fair and just world.

We work with the adult and community sector in Donegal using creative and innovative interventions and opportunities:

  • Levels 4, 5 and 6 QQI accredited Development Education Modules
  • Small Development Education grants to community groups (Seeds of Change)
  • Workshops with community organisations and groups on a wide range of development education themes, including Human Rights, Climate Justice, Migration, Consumerism, Food Security and Food Waste, Gender Equality, Water and Environmental Sustainability
  • Fairtrade Town support
  • Annual Seminar on a relevant and topical development education themes
  • Development Education through Film and the Arts
  • National and local collaborations with civil society, media, social enterprises, and SMEs on the Sustainable Development Goals

In 2019 ChangeMakers received the Aontas award within the Adult Learning Initiatives that support Social Inclusion category.
