Inishowen Co‑op Society Ltd is seeking a dedicated, professional HGV/Rigid Driver to join our team. This role offers flexible hours and may be structured as full-time or part-time, depending on the successful candidate.

The ideal candidate will ensure the safe, efficient, and timely delivery/collection of goods, maintain high service standards, and demonstrate strong customer focus and attention to detail.


📋 Key Responsibilities

⏱️ Professional & Timely Deliveries/Collections

  • Complete all deliveries and collections punctually.
  • Represent the company in a professional, customer‑focused manner.

📦 Loading & Unloading

  • Safely and securely load and unload goods.
  • Follow all procedures and safety guidelines.

🛠️ Issue Resolution

  • Address customer or operational issues promptly.
  • Escalate concerns to relevant departments when required.

🤝 Customer & Staff Relations

  • Maintain positive working relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive working environment.

🚛 Vehicle Inspections

  • Carry out comprehensive daily pre‑departure vehicle checks.
  • Complete the vehicle walk‑around check book each day.
  • Immediately report any damage or issues involving the vehicle or goods.

✅ Candidate Requirements

  • Clean, valid driving licence
  • Digital driver card
  • CPC card / up‑to‑date CPCs
  • Minimum one year’s experience in a similar driving role
  • Excellent driving history with a strong safety record
  • Moffett Mounty experience (advantage, but training can be provided)
  • Experience handling/transporting livestock is desirable (training can be arranged)
  • Candidates under 25 with suitable experience will be considered
  • Must be flexible and willing to assist with yard duties during absences or holiday periods
