The North Inishowen School Completion Programme are seeking a Project Worker to cover maternity leave.
This is a specified purpose contract. Fixed Term / Specified Purpose to cover maternity leave from October 2026. Expected duration approx. [6-11 months] or until the post-holder returns. The contract will cease on the return of the substantive post-holder.
Post: Project Worker – Maternity Cover Full-time 35hrs per week

Salary: Youth Worker Salary Scale (€39,661-€58,157) as directed by the Department of Education and Skills/Dublin City Youth Services Board(CDYSB) in accordance with circular 0058/2026
It is desirable that the candidates should have:
· Quality in education Level 7 in youth/community work; work/social care; field education & leisure or in a related discipline or similar experience.
· Practical experience working with young people, in a group and/or individually
· Experience in designing, facilitating, and evaluating relevant programmes aimed at young people (social development, behavioural, emotional, self-confidence, art, drama, music, sporting, cultural etc activities)
· Understanding the social and educational disadvantages and needs of people at risk of early school leaving
· Computer skills
· A full clean driving licence and access to a car during working hours.
Shortlisting: Where the number of candidates would be so high that it would not be practical to interview all candidates, the Interview Board may arrange a shortlisting process to select the number of interviewees, based on the most suitable applications for the post. In this case, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
This shortlist may also be used to fill other vacancies that may arise for 12 months from the date of the interview.
In accordance with the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Act 2012, Garda Vetting will be a requirement for the successful candidate.
