Inishowen Development Partnership (IDP) is delighted to announce that the final Care4Carers “Exploring Me” Programme of the year will take place in Moville this September, marking the first time the programme has been delivered in the town.
Caring for a child, parent, spouse, family member, friend, or loved one can be both rewarding and challenging. Many carers dedicate so much of their time to supporting others that their own wellbeing and personal development can often take a back seat. The Exploring Me programme has been designed to change that.
Developed by Inishowen Development Partnership (IDP), Care4Carers is a tailored programme that provides unpaid carers with an opportunity to step back from their caring responsibilities, connect with others who understand their experiences, and invest in themselves.
Over the course of the programme, participants will take part in a range of engaging and supportive activities, including:
- Personal development
- Confidence building
- Health and wellbeing
- Self-care and resilience
- Creative activities and crafts
- Exploring future opportunities and next steps
The programme offers a welcoming and supportive environment where carers can share experiences, build confidence, develop new skills, and focus on their own needs and aspirations.
Importantly, individuals do not need to be registered carers to participate. Anyone who provides unpaid care and support to a child, parent, spouse, relative, friend, or loved one is welcome to register their interest.
Places are limited and early registration is encouraged.
