We are excited to share the first edition of the HARC Community Newsletter, marking an important milestone for the Healthy Active Rural Communities (HARC) Project. This ambitious initiative, supported by €7.6 million in PEACEPLUS funding, is designed to enhance health, wellbeing, and social inclusion across rural communities in Inishowen and beyond.
The HARC Project will deliver a range of innovative programmes in 2026, focusing on:
- Expanding family support and wellness services
- Providing targeted assistance for older people, carers, and individuals with disabilities
- Promoting nature-based wellbeing activities
- Strengthening rural social enterprises to build resilient communities
As we move into the new year, we look forward to introducing you to the HARC team and sharing details of the programmes that will make a lasting impact on rural life.
