IDP is delighted to announce the launch of RISE (Resilience, Inclusion & Sustainability through Empowerment in Climate Advocacy), its newest EU-funded project, now open for applications from young people with an interest in climate action social change.
RISE is an Erasmus Plus International Programme designed to empower young people by developing their skills in climate advocacy, environmental awareness, and community engagement.
The project explores the links between climate change, migration, and conflict, while supporting participants to take meaningful action both locally and at a European level.
As part of the programme, 30 young people from six partner countries will come together for transnational training in Cáceres, Extremadura, Spain, from 26 February to 1 March 2026, with travel from Ireland taking place from 25 February to 2 March 2026. All costs, including travel, accommodation, and meals, are fully covered.
Tracey McGrory, IDP Development Officer, said:
“This is a great opportunity for a young person from Inishowen who is interested in learning more about climate justice, sustainability, and how to make a positive impact in their community while connecting with young people from across Europe.”
Applications are open to young people aged 18–30 from participating partner countries. The closing date for applications is 18:00 on 11 January 2026.
