IDP Launches New ‘Waste Less Save More’ Booklet to Help Cut Food Waste and Save Money

Inishowen Development Partnership (IDP) is proud to announce the launch of its brand-new Waste Less Save More booklet, a practical and engaging resource designed to support households across Donegal in reducing food waste, saving money, and embracing healthier, more sustainable eating habits.

This easy-to-use guide is packed with actionable tips for managing food waste at home, including clever storage ideas, portion planning strategies, and advice on using leftovers creatively. It also features air fryer recipe inspiration, simple meal planning templates, and budget-friendly cooking suggestions to help families make the most of the food they buy.

The booklet was developed collaboratively by community food and nutrition workers Niamh Britton (IDP) and Donna McGettigan (DLDC), with valuable support from Donegal County Council and the Sláintecare Healthy Communities programme.

The Waste Less Save More booklet will be available soon at Healthy Food Made Easy courses, IDP and DLDC offices, local community venues, and online via the IDP website and social media channels.
