IDP Recognised as a Fairtrade Workplace

IDP is proud to be officially recognised as a Fairtrade Workplace, reflecting our ongoing commitment to ethical procurement, sustainability, and global social responsibility.

This achievement is the result of ongoing efforts by the IDP Green Team, established in January 2024, to embed sustainability and ethical practices across all areas of our work.

The team has played a key role in promoting Fairtrade awareness internally, sourcing Fairtrade-certified products, and encouraging staff engagement with global justice issues.

The Green Team collaborated with their colleagues at ChangeMakers Donegal to achieve this award as they have been instrumental in promoting Fairtrade values and campaigns throughout the county.

“Being a Fairtrade Workplace is more than a label – it’s a reflection of our values,” said a spokesperson for IDP.

“We’re proud to stand alongside ChangeMakers Donegal and other local partners in building a more ethical and sustainable future. ChangeMakers’ work continues to inspire local organisations and communities to take meaningful action in support of fairness and justice in global trade.”

Call to Action:
IDP encourages other local businesses and organisations to join the movement and become Fairtrade Workplaces. It’s a simple but powerful way to make a positive impact both locally and globally.

Fairtrade workplaces commit to using Fairtrade-certified products, raising awareness among staff and stakeholders, and supporting producers in developing countries to earn a fair income and improve their working conditions.

“Together, we can build a fairer world – one workplace at a time.”
