OUR STORY

Denise McCool (IDP) and Patsy Toland (Self Help Africa) teamed up after meeting while delivering global citizenship programmes in Donegal schools. They saw an opportunity to sustain this awareness-raising work by partnering with IDP’s existing community development activities. They approached Crona Gallagher of Donegal ETB, who had worked in the Global South to seek funding from the Donegal Education and Training Board. They then applied to Irish Aid for funding for the project, which later brought in Trócaire and Concern Worldwide.
