Community group support & development

Inishowen Development Partnership works with community and voluntary groups to identify local issues and how to make changes for the better in our local communities, to address disadvantage, promote inclusion and secure real improvements in quality of life for people in Inishowen.

Capacity building, training & supports

Our Community Development Team works with groups and communities to offer advice and guidance on projects and development on new actions.

As part of our supports we provide training sessions to groups and volunteers to upskill and enhance their knowledge, build understanding and respond effectively. Our training, community education and workshop programmes are developed in response to needs identified within the community sector and by volunteers.  Courses are a mix of accredited and unaccredited options, focused on the learner’s needs. Training programmes may include: Governance, Social Media, Committee skills, Social Analysis, Strategic planning and other needs as identified by the groups. Our programmes also aim to promote and support regenerative and sustainable practises in our community. You can learn more about these programmes here
