Our Enterprise Officers are here to guide you on your self-employment journey. They offer one-on-one support to help you explore the opportunities of starting your own business. Their goal is to provide valuable guidance, practical advice, and the support you need to succeed.

IDP’s Enterprise Officers provide the following free services:

  • One-on-one guidance and advice to help you explore self-employment
  • Help to assess your Business viability
  • Assistance with preparing your Business Plan.
  • Support to access the Back to Work Enterprise Allowance (BTWEAS) and Short-Term Enterprise Allowance Scheme (STEA) from the Department of Social Protection.
  • Enterprise Training Package – designed to help you explore self-employment and develop the key skills needed to successfully start and run your own business.
  • Ongoing support and mentoring after you start your business, including workshops, networking opportunities, and access to our INBusiness Initiative.
  • Referral to other business support agencies in the Peninsula and County.
