TOAST (Tourism & Sustainability) project aims to offer an insight into European regional approaches (Italy, Holland and Ireland) to sustainable tourism and sharing of best practice from those involved in agri-tourism and small scale sustainable food production. Funded through ERASMUS + the programme offers training to these micro product and tourism businesses from the Alto Monferrato area in Piedmont, northern Italy. The aim is to maximize their potential, promote sustainable tourism and build a local network to work collectively to promote their region and businesses.

IDP is looking forward to hosting the small agritourism businesses and food producers who will be travelling to Ireland in May, and connecting them with local tourism and farming initiatives within social, green tourism and sustainable models. It is an opportunity to showcase some innovative approaches to tourism and sustainability within the Inishowen peninsula.
