EU Projects

Just some of the current projects that the IDP is involved in this year, from being project leaders in European programmes, to helping to promote Erasmus+ EU wide initiatives in the creative arts, gender and social innovation.

  • Wellbeing from Nature

    Launched in February 2021, Wellbeing from Nature was a knowledge exchange and community building project in the areas of green care and nature induced wellbeing alongside partners from Finland and Malta.

    In Inishowen the project brought together groups, businesses, and individuals with an interest in the connectedness and serenity that the Inishowen landscape can bring, supporting them to work collaboratively on projects to invite more people to share their positive outdoor experiences.

  • Erasmus+ StagePass

    StagePass is a two-year ErasmusPlus project led by IDP which will connect and engage young people from schools in Inishowen with peers from Northern Ireland, Ireland, Poland and The Netherlands. They’ve recently had their first meeting with a hugely succesful workshop and event session in the City of Leeuwarden in The Netherlands.

  • Blue C

    Blue-C is a two-year Erasmus+ funded collaboration involving a consortium of six partner countries: Malta, Spain, Netherlands, Greece, Finland and Ireland, and IDP as the Lead partner organisation. The Blue-C project will encourage blue economy growth through sustainability, collaboration and connection and targets micro entrepreneurs active in coastal communities.

  • DIGITOUR

    Inishowen Development Partnership (IDP) is working with 5 other partners across the EU (Ireland, Greece, Netherlands, Spain, and Malta) on a research and development project called DIGITOUR, supported by Erasmus Plus. The focus is on building digital skills for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in the tourism sector.

  • TOAST logo

    TOAST

    TOAST (Tourism & Sustainability) project offered an insight into European regional approaches (Italy, Holland and Ireland) to sustainable tourism and sharing of best practice from those involved in agri-tourism and small scale sustainable food production. Funded through ERASMUS + the programme offered training to these micro product and tourism businesses from the Alto Monferrato area in Piedmont, northern Italy. The aim was to maximize their potential, promote sustainable tourism and build a local network to work collectively to promote their region and businesses.
