A busy summer ahead for our Eco-Environmental supports with a series of events and workshops over the coming months. As well as tackling local challenges we’ll also be aiming to raise awareness through local action initiatives and activities, in an engaging and educational way.

First up, those heading to this year’s Inishowen Agricultural Show on Sat 16th July will see an IDP presence on the ground, so do come over and see what’s on offer.

During July we’ll be launching our Community Walk Leader training and Action Against Invasives workshops. The Walk Leader training (July 21st) is aimed at people who take a leadership role in a walking group. The workshop will give participants tips and skills to lead safe, enjoyable, health-promoting walking sessions and programmes for a small group in their club and/or community.

August will see our collaboration with Leave No Trace Ireland, with a 1-day certified
training workshop (Aug 26th) focusing on developing skills and ethics to help protect
our environment and outdoor spaces, plus promote responsible, sustainable outdoor pursuits and
recreation.
