Childcare CEIDP is the sponsor of the CE Childcare Programme in the Inishowen Peninsula. It is being implemented to provide CE participants with a career path and access to qualifications which will equip them to work as qualified practitioners in the childcare sector. CE is a unique programme that integrates employment interventions and training for the jobseeker as well as supporting the provisions of community services in such areas as social care, childcare and the provisions of local amenities. It is a 3-year programme of formal learning and work experience leading to a QQI Level 5 Major Award in early childhood care and education.

The Inishowen Development Partnership is the main sponsor of the Inishowen Community Employment Childcare Scheme offering long term unemployed and other disadvantaged people the opportunity to get back to work by offering part-time and temporary placements in jobs based within local playgroups/crèche that operate under the ECCE Framework and use the Siolta standards as a developmental tool.

If you need childcare in order to become a CE participant, you may be eligible for the Community Employment Childcare (CEC) Programme
