We are currently recruiting Health Care Support Assistants (Home Helps) in all areas of Inishowen. Workers must be available to work early mornings, afternoons, evenings and nights on week days and weekends for up to 39 hours per week and have access to transport. Workers may have a set of clients to attend to, typically spending 30, 45 or 60 minutes with a client before moving to the next one.
Evidence of successful completion of Fetac/QQI level 5 in healthcare modules ‘Care Skills’ and ‘Care of the Older Person’ or equivalent qualifications and minimum of one year’s relevant experience providing care are required. Where an individual has not yet completed the above modules but can demonstrate significant experience of caring, applications may be considered in conjunction with a personal commitment to commence the healthcare modules within the first 12 months of employment.
The current salary scale is €29,062 rising to €37,600 (nine year scale). Actual pay is calculated on the number of hours worked each week.
