Inishowen Medical is recruiting a Medical Secretary/Receptionist to work 36 hours per week,  based between our busy clinics in Buncrana and Clonmany.  This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and friendly team.

The Medical Secretary/Receptionist’s role includes;

  • Professional interactions with patient and visitors over the phone and face to face
  • Dealing with administration queries and requests from patients and other stakeholders
  • Ensuring repeat prescriptions are completed accurately and emailing prescriptions to pharmacies
  • Completing illness benefit paperwork
  • Processing payments from patients, HSE and Social Welfare department
  • Liaising with clinicians and other colleagues
  • General administration duties including scanning reports, correspondence and various paperwork

Essential Requirements

  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Proficient MS Word and accurate data entry skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Compliance with strict confidentiality agreements
  • Two years reception/administration experience is essential and experience within a medical setting is advantageous
