Sous Chef

We are looking for a professional Sous Chef. The successful candidate must display excellent culinary and managerial skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce high quality food
  • Fill in for the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
  • Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus
  • Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
  • Resourcefully solve any issues in the kitchen
  • Manage and train kitchen staff
  • Order supplies and manage stock control
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with team members and customers

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
  • Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices
  • BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate would be a plus but not essential
