We are looking for a professional Sous Chef. The successful candidate must display excellent culinary and managerial skills.
Responsibilities:
- Produce high quality food
- Fill in for the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
- Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
- Resourcefully solve any issues in the kitchen
- Manage and train kitchen staff
- Order supplies and manage stock control
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with team members and customers
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
- Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate would be a plus but not essential
