This is an FSPA (Food Safety Professionals Association) course leading to a QQI Level 4 Certificate in Food Safety incorporating HACCP.

Times: 10am-1pm
This course is particularly aimed at food handlers, catering staff who prepare food for public consumption, staff who serve in hotels, hospitals, nursing homes, retail outlets and general catering establishments. Also non-food handlers who can affect the safety of food.
Areas covered in this programme are:
- Hygiene and Safety
- Food contamination
- Cleaning and Pest control
- Legal standards for Food Handlers
- Design and layout of food premises
Cost: FREE (funded through Taste4Success Skillnet – eligibility criteria apply – please see below)
(Please find link below for application form for the Food Safety course – application must be completed in order to get a place on the course and the eligibility criteria is that you are unemployed or in receipt of a Social Welfare payment or Covid (PUP) payment.
On page 2 of the application form they ask where you will do work experience from having completed the course but just put in (c) for this as there is an assessment as part of the course.
