Hosted by Inishowen Development Partnership on Saturday April 20th in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel in Buncrana, the Inishowen Jobs Fair aims to bridge the gap between talented individuals and local Inishowen businesses across various industries.

There will be a wide range of Inishowen companies attending the job fair – all of which have active vacancies at present. Some of Inishowen’s largest employers such as Vertiv [E&I Engineering], Forward Emphasis, Inishowen Co-Op, Northwest Cleaning Services and the Inishowen Gateway Hotel will all be in attendance at the Job Fair.

Construction firms HML, Lynch Windows, Buildcost, and Efficient Renewables Ltd, will also have senior team members there on the day to seek applicants for immediate employment.

There will also be more specialised opportunities with Financial Firms MLMG and McGuinness O’Neill including Admin and Apprentice Accounting/Accountant Technician positions. 

Health and social care providers Home Instead, Irish HomeCare, Brighter Futures for Children and the exclusive Kingsbridge Private Hospital – which has bases in Letterkenny and Ballykelly, Co. Derry.

Employer engagement officer with Inishowen Development Partnership, Ana McColgan, said the Inishowen Jobs Fair has been in the works for some time and they are delighted to have so many high-quality employers on board.

“Whether you’re a recent graduate, seasoned professional, or someone looking to make a career change, this job fair is a real opportunity for you to seek out high quality employment,” said Ana.

“We have been engaging with all the employers for some time now and we know there are scores of vacancies available in these reputable local companies.”

Some of the employers who will be attending the Inishowen Job Fair on Saturday 20th April in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel are: Efficient Renewables, Lynch Windows, Irish Homecare, North West Cleaning Services, McGuinness O’Neill HML, MLMG, Inishowen Co-Op, Buildcost and the Inishowen Gateway Hotel at the official launch at the IDP office in Buncrana yesterday.

Team Lead and Enterprise Officer with IDP Sinead McDaid said the Job Fair will give people a chance to talk to explore a wide range of career options and connect with top employers in the process.

“We are thrilled with the support we have received from employers in organising this Job Fair so we are now calling all jobseekers to come along with your CV to the Inishowen Gateway Hotel on Saturday [April 20th] to discover your next move,” said Sinead.

“We are also providing free transport from Moville, Carndonagh, Ballyliffin, Muff and Burnfoot, to ensure the Job Fair is accessible to everyone in the peninsula. Booking for this will be necessary though and can be done via the link below or by calling us on 07493 62218,” added Sinead.

Meanwhile IDP’s five employment support officers will also be on hand during the Job Fair to provide on the spot career and CV advice – giving people a vital opportunity to tidy up their CVs before engaging with the employers in the room.

“IDP’s CE and TÚS supervisors will also have stands at the Job Fair to let people know of the opportunities which are available through these schemes to ease back into the workforce,” added Sinead.

The Inishowen Job Fair gets underway in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel in Buncrana from 10am – 1pm on Saturday, April 20th. It is free to attend and open to everyone.
