COMMUNITY organisations in Inishowen are being invited to apply for the IDP second round of 2024 Small Grants Fund to help ‘contribute towards building a more sustainable, inclusive and empowered community’.   The SICAP [Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme] Small Grants Fund supports community groups and smaller social enterprises to reduce poverty and promote social inclusion through engagement and collaboration.

This new small grant programme, “Integration Supports for New Communities” is for local groups that are supporting initiatives that prioritise the new thematic focus area of ‘Refugee and Migrant Rights and Integration’.

A range of actions and supports can be applied for under the grant that support our new communities, foster integration, build understanding and connection for local and migrant communities in Inishowen. Groups are invited to apply with up to a maximum grant of €500 available – costs can go to a range of actions including, but not limited to, training, running events, refreshments, small project costs, etc.

All expenditure must be vouched and short reports on the actions are required. The process is straight-forward with a brief 4-page application form and guidance provided.

The Community Development team at IDP are available to answer any questions groups may have regarding the grants programme.  The closing date is Tuesday, September 10th, 2024 at 5pm.  For further information please contact rachel@inishowen.ie
